Beyonce Signs Pepsi Mega Deal
Pepsi has hit a mega lucrative deal with Beyoncé, taking the 10-year-old partnership to a new global level on sunday December 9th, 2012. The New York Times describes it as a “hybrid project with Beyoncé that will include standard advertising like commercials as well as a multimillion-dollar fund to support the singer’s chosen creative projects.”
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve,” Beyonce said in a statement. “As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
For now, the brand has simply said that “Beyond the partnership with Beyoncé, we are using our global scale and scope to create a platform to support multiple country-specific Pepsi musical artists.” The most likely interpretation is that they don’t want to be thought of as a company that is paying hired guns to promote the brand, but are moving more toward a social interaction with artists.

After being screened from 10 to six, to four and then a final three, Amarachi was tonight announced winner by the show’s host Andre Blaze.
Drogba Spends £800, 000 On Rings for Chelsea Team-Mates
Didier Drogba has given his former Chelsea team-mates commemorative rings to honour their Champions League victory - just 24 hours after they were knocked out of the competition.

The Chairman for the Electoral Commission, Dr kwadwo Afari Gyan has declared Ghana’s incumbent president John Dramani Mahama, the winner of the 2012 presidential elections.
President Mahama who ran on the ticket of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), polled 5,574,761 representing 50.70% to win the polls held on Friday and Saturday.
The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Akufo-Addo had 5,248,898 of the valid votes cast, representing 47.74%.
Out of a total of 14,158,890 registered voters, 11,246,982 voters
exercised their franchise. 10,995,262 of this number were deemed valid.
The total rejected votes stood at 251,720. The turnout in the 275
constituencies is 79.43%
The flag-bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom placed third in the elections with 64,362 votes representing 0.59. CLICK HERE to download the official detailed results.

For years, the death of the late Notorious B.I.G has been a mystery. A never-before-seen autopsy report has revealed that The Notorious B.I.G was shot in the ‘chest, shoulder, leg, forearm and scrotum’ on the night of his murder.
Christopher Wallace a.k.a Notorious B.I.G was first shot in the left
forearm, with the bullet traveling down to his wrist, before the second
shot struck him in the back – narrowly missing his vital organs before
exiting through his left shoulder. And
the third shot entered through Wallace’s left thigh, before leaving on
the other side of his leg. Referring to the third shot, the report reads: ‘The projectile strikes the left side of the scrotum, causing a very shallow, 3/8 inch linear laceration.’

Remember Malia Obama’s controversial Spring Break vacation to Mexico with 12 of her friends and about 25 Secret Service agents earlier this year? Judicial Watch has released records detailing the cost of that vacation to American taxpayers.
According to the records, obtained from the U.S. Secret Service as a result of a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit,
the total cost of the trip comes to $115,500.87 — not including the
salaries and expenses of the 25 Secret Service agents for their babysitting services.

My husband is a real man.” That is how Nigeria’s first lady, Patience Jonathan reacted to the rumours last week that her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan, is gay. The rumour began with a statement made by Doyin Okupe, an aide to the president, who was trying to explain the relationship between the president and ex-convicts like Bode George and Diepreye Alamieyeseigha. Okupe agreed that the president associated with the ex-criminals but said the relationship was not intimate.
Okonjo-Iweala’s 83-year Old Mother Kidnapped

The 83-year-old mother of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating
Minister for the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, was kidnapped Sunday
afternoon by unknown gunmen from the palace of the traditional ruler of
Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State, Obi
Chukwuka Okonjo, who is also her husband.
The 83-year-old Kamene Okonjo, who is also the queen mother of
Ogwashi-Uku and a retired Professor of Sociology, was abducted at about
1.47 pm by a gang of armed men who seized her at the gate of the palace
at Ogbe-ofu, Ogwashi-Uku, and took her away, when her husband was out of
town.
Confirming the kidnapping, the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel
Uduaghan, condemned the incident, saying it is most unfortunate that a
woman as old as Professor Kamene Okonjo, could be traumatised.
He said he had directed the Delta State Police Command and the Special
Task Force to rescue the minister’s mother immediately, as her
kidnapping was a major embarrassment to the state.

Why did Jacintha Saldanha commit suicide over a prank?
Jacintha Saldanha (pictured above left) is the 46 year old nurse who killed herself after being duped by ahoaxer pretending to be the Queen. Three days before her death, Mrs Saldanha was manning the hospital switchboard where Kate Middleton was taken to for acute morning sickness when she took a call from two Australian radio presenters – Mel Greig and Michael Christian – (pictured above right) impersonating the Queen and Prince Charles. They were transferred to the Duchess’s ward and broadcast confidential information given to them by a second nurse. Although she wasn’t blamed in any way for what happened, friends said Mrs Saldanha ‘took it very badly’ when prank was broadcast.
She was found dead on Friday morning in the nurses’ accommodation at the hospital. May her soul rest in peace.

Time Magazine Names Usher’s ‘Climax’ The Best Song Of 2012
At the end of the year, whenever I see lists that talk about the best of anything of the year I’m in shock about how much has happened within one year. For instance, when thinking about the best song of 2012, I realize that a LOT of music came out this year. A lot of new stuff, by artists new and old have been listened to by my own ears. Time Magazine sat down and composed a list of the best songs of 2012 and to my surprise ( I’m pretty sure everyone else’s) they named Usher‘s Climax as the best song of 2012.
*Crickets*
I mean, I don’t hate Climax. It’s a cool song. But…the best song of 2012?? Nah. Not really. I don’t even think that that’s Usher‘s best song that he released this year. He even beat out Korean sensation PSY‘s catchy Gangnam Style. That song would have made more sense to me to top the list, seeing as he’s made millions on top of millions on that song alone. I don’t know who decided this list but I have no idea what they were even thinking with these songs. Listen to the top song of 2012 and see if you agree with their choices, when you continue…
