Justin Bieber Orders Friends To Play Nice With Selena Gomez! No Retaliation!

Justin Bieber hasn’t been having an easy time with the press lately.

Selena Gomez hasn’t exactly let up on him either, recently and very publicly poking fun at the Boyfriend singer on The Late Show with David Letterman and Chelsea Lately.

And yet, the Biebs has ordered all his close friends to keep from saying anything negative about his former lady and for “everyone to leave her alone.”

A source revealed:

“She’s been bashing him but Justin has ordered everyone around him not to retaliate… He told his friends and everyone else about Selena, ‘she’s off limits.“

The source then added:

“He doesn’t want to fuel the fire and he just doesn’t want it to be that way with her. ‘I don’t want anyone saying anything negative about her,’ is what he told his pals.”

Sounds quite mature of him. Think it's just damage-control?

His publicist must be getting paid a hefty amount these days!

Rapper Naeto C and his wife Nicole have finally welcomed their first child!

Nicole delivered the bouncing baby boy yesterday evening, March 26, 2013 in Washington DC. Both mother and child are said to be doing fine.

No words yet from the couple, as Naeto is yet to respond to our email.

The ‘Tony Montana’ rapper who temporarily relocated to the US to be with his family, kicked off his North American tour on March 22 in Canada through till March 31.

Meanwhile, congratulatory messages have been pouring in…

LA Times columnist thinks President Jonathan should be impeached

LA Times Columnist, Joel Brinkley (pictured above) wrote that Nigeria is the most corrupt country in the world and feels president Goodluck Jonathan should be impeached. He wrote an article titled  Nigeria’s Squandered Opportunity on Friday March 22nd. See it below...

No actual health-care facility nationwide had as many, and in fact a few still have none at all. But as soon as a Nigerian newspaper took a photo of the ambulances and published a story about them, they suddenly disappeared — probably to an underground garage.

Jonathan is president of Nigeria, which should be among the world’s most prosperous nations. After all, it produces an estimated 2.4 million barrels of oil each and every day. With oil now selling at $93.61 a barrel, that’s $224 million in income daily. And yet many hospitals can’t afford to buy an ambulance. The reason, in my view: Nigeria is the most corrupt nation on earth.

If you missed Nigerian Idol show this past Saturday and Sunday, you missed two utterly engaging shows. Not only was the comeback queen with nine lives, aka Safeeyat, saved by the judges, the contestants gave the performances of their lives, and, Jesse Jagz was in the building. 

It was an off-the-charts weekend for the show, and though the elimination night was definitely a shocker with Safeeyat ousted in a shocking elimination, she was saved by Jeffrey Daniel, Yinka Davies and Femi Kuti, using up the one lifeline of the competition.

Ceecon Boss Chima Anyaso and Adanna Nzeribe get engaged

About a year and half after ending his marriage to Onyeka Odiegwu, Ceecon Oil and Gas boss Chima Anyaso is engaged again. He proposed to his girlfriend of six months, Adanna Nzeribe, last night in Dubai during her 25th birthday.

This will be Chima's third attempt at matrimony in the last five years. He was briefly married to former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu's daughter, Neya Kalu. Neya walked out of the union after a wine carrying ceremony that held in 2009. Chima then married Onyeka in 2011 but that marriage lasted less than a year. He's engaged again. But you know what they say, third time's a charm.

Henry Okah jailed 24 years

The man suspected to be behind the 2010 Independence Day Bombing that killed 12 people was today sentenced to 24 years in prison by a South African Court.

Mr Okah was found guilty on 13 counts of terrorism, including engaging in terrorist activities, conspiracy to engage in terrorist activities, and delivering, placing, and detonating an explosive device.

According to this week's City People, Mikel Obi and Sandra Uche Okagbue's introduction will hold this Sunday March 31 in Onitsha, but Mikel Obi has come out to deny it.

Pretty solid, unlike Lindsay Lohan's new disaster of a movie,InAPPropriate Comedy, which co-stars Adrien Brody and Michelle Rodriguez, opened to just 292 theaters yet still only managed to pull in $155,000!

Kidnapped NTA Akure female journalist freed

Olubunmi Oke, the female journalist with NTA Akure who was kidnapped on Thursday 21 as she returned home from work, has been released. Bunmi regained her freedom yesterday Sunday March 24th.

“I confirm that she has been released. I spoke with her early this morning shortly after she was set free by her abductors. She was set free and abandoned in a bush near Ondo town, about 30 kilometres (19 miles) from Akure from where she boarded a lorry home. She is hale and hearty and happy to be back home." Rotimi Obamuwagun, vice president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, told AFP.

Her abductors had asked for N8million but is is unclear if any ransom was paid before she was freed.

It is not a surprise the amount of tributes that have poured in from around the world following the passing on of perhaps Nigeria’s greatest ever writer. Chinualumogu Albert Achebe died a few hours ago aged 82. Why was Chinua Achebe so readable and Wole Soyinka is almost inscrutable? The former was a writer, a storyteller; the latter is a poet who just happens to write.

Nollywood star actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim and her partner, Clifford Sule will be heading to her hometown for a traditional marriage in a matter of days.

NET has gathered that the ceremony, which appears to be the final step in their multi-phase wedding, will hold on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at St. Stephen’s Primary School, Ikot Etobo, Nsit-Ubium LGA, Akwa Ibom.

Nse’s trado wedding is happening in Akwa Ibom, just weeks after the Idibias’ star-studded wedding shook the town. It is expected that Nse and her partner will also be accompanied by many celeb friends, especially from Nollywood where Nse Ikpe-Etim has become a major force.

Nse and her UK based husband, Clifford who is a senior lecturer in Computer Communications atMiddlesex University, United Kingdom started dating since they were teenagers, but lost contact when Sule left for studies in the UK.

The fact that Clifford now has a 15-year old son, Jarmaine, has not deterred the lovers from once again rekindling the love they once shared.
