It is not a surprise the amount of tributes that have poured in from around the world following the passing on of perhaps Nigeria’s greatest ever writer. Chinualumogu Albert Achebe died a few hours ago aged 82. Why was Chinua Achebe so readable and Wole Soyinka is almost inscrutable? The former was a writer, a storyteller; the latter is a poet who just happens to write.

Multi-award winning comedian, TV host and entrepreneur Tee A is taking a dazzling team of super star singers and performers along with him, for the umpteenth edition of his concert series Tymeout With Tee A in the federal capital territory, Abuja on April 21.
Tee A who pioneered live stand-up comedy events in Nigeria with his hugely successful Live ‘N Naked series, has built  the Tymeout brand, to become one of the biggest events in Nigeria’s entertainment calendar, holding regularly in Lagos, Abuja an London, with past headliners including icons 2face Idibia, D’Banj, and Ali Baba; as well as fan-favourites Wizkid, Basketmouth and Bovi.

I guess the handsome turntable player, whose real name is Rotimi Alakija wants us to know that he has always been handsome even as a little child.
Born and raised in the UK, the DJ, producer and artiste is a graduate of Financial Computing from the Brunel University, UK.
Besides his affiliation with EME, he also works as an On Air Radio DJ for Cool Fm 96.9 Lagos and is warming up for the release of his mixtape with the first single, ‘No Time’ featuring May D, Skales andTillaman

Hennessy recently partnered with international jazz vocalist & songwriter, Somi’s ‘The Gratitude Tour‘.
The American singer and songwriter of Rwandan and Ugandan descent kicked off her tour in Lagos supported by songstress, Efya and rising star, Ese Peters.
With her New-York based band flown in to delight fans over 2-nights showcasing new material from Somi’s new album inspired by her 15-month creative sabbatical immersed in the fiery spirit of Lagos, Nigeria and scheduled for release internationally later this year.
The event was kicked off with a cocktail reception with four Hennessy signature recipes whilst guests waited to be seated for a specially-paired 5-course meal by Executive Chef Lalu before the lady-of-the-hour, Somi took the stage.
The star-studded contemporary music event is another testament to Hennessy’s support of global music events.

Nollywood star actress, Nse Ikpe-Etim and her partner, Clifford Sule will be heading to her hometown for a traditional marriage in a matter of days.
NET has gathered that the ceremony, which appears to be the final step in their multi-phase wedding, will hold on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at St. Stephen’s Primary School, Ikot Etobo, Nsit-Ubium LGA, Akwa Ibom.
Nse’s trado wedding is happening in Akwa Ibom, just weeks after the Idibias’ star-studded wedding shook the town. It is expected that Nse and her partner will also be accompanied by many celeb friends, especially from Nollywood where Nse Ikpe-Etim has become a major force.
Nse and her UK based husband, Clifford who is a senior lecturer in Computer Communications atMiddlesex University, United Kingdom started dating since they were teenagers, but lost contact when Sule left for studies in the UK.
The fact that Clifford now has a 15-year old son, Jarmaine, has not deterred the lovers from once again rekindling the love they once shared.
Earlier on St. Valentine’s day this year, the couple exchanged vows at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry and celebrated with a few friends and colleagues on the following day at the Swanky Sky Lounge Penthouse restaurant & bar inside Eko Hotel in Lagos…
