US actress, rapper and singer Natina Reed, member of 1990′s R&B group Blaque and star of cheer-leading film ‘Bring It On’, passed away on Friday night, October 26, 201 after being hit by a car, two days before her birthday.
According to a statement by the Gwinnett, Georgia police department, Reed was hit by a car while crossing the street on Friday night. She was aged 32.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly called 911 to request assistance and Reed was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead late that same night.
There is an on-going investigation but the Police spokesperson says the driver ‘was determined not to be at fault, and there are no charges pending’.
Reed is survived by her 10-year-old son, Tren Brown, whose father is rapper Kurupt. She would have turned 33 today.
