Amiable actress Susan Peters was recently honored with the best supporting actress in the Diaspora plaque at the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards (GIAMA), for her role in the movie, The Entrapped.
The ceremony which took place at the Morris Cultural Centre in Houston Texas, US, on October 20, was also the maiden edition of the awards.
It had many A-list Nollywood entertainers in attendance.
Also on the awards list were top Nollywood players like, Ramsey Noah, Mercy Johnson, Uti Nwachukwu, Stella Damascus, Roberts Peters and top Ghanaian actor Majid Michel.
Benue state born Peters who recently floated an NGO, Benue Pikin, started out as a model before making her Nollywood debuts in 2002, with the movie "wasted effort". Other movies by the self acclaimed Duchess of Idoma include: The hammer, Songs of Sorrows, and 11 days and 11 nights.
